Health examinations for certifications at sea
Your health is the safety of everyone on board
Vinnuvernd's specialist doctors offer health examinations according to the requirements of the Icelandic Transport Authority for vocational competency certificates for various types of work at sea.
There are three different categories of health examinations:
- Vocational competency certificate for fishing vessels, guard vessels & other vessels - STCW-F
- Vocational competency certificate for passenger ships & cargo ships - STCW
- Pleasure boats (6 metres or longer)

It is important that those who intend to book an examination have familiarised themselves with the vocational competency certificate they are applying for so that the correct health examination is chosen when booking.
